We're looking for an EFL cover teacher for KI Languages in Cambridge.


We are looking for an experienced and professional teacher who is keen to develop within the ELT field with an internationally recognized company in a multi-cultural setting. The right candidate should be willing to teach a variety of levels and courses, such as Exam English & Business Skills, and be confident in engaging with digital teaching tools and using different approaches. 





  • Celta or Trinity Cert TESOL 
  • Near native-like English 
  • Right to work in the UK 
  • Minimum of one year of experience teaching various levels 
  • Ability to lesson plan and define objectives 




  • A first degree 
  • Experience with supporting students with learning & developing autonomy  
  • Sound understanding of the use of technology in learning 



The role: 


You will be teaching groups of up to 15 students in 1.5-hour lessons, two of which are main classes in the morning and one an elective in the afternoon. You will be teaching a semi-intensive course of 15 hours a week or an intensive one of 21 hours a week, between the hours of 9am and 3pm. 

There is an in-house course book, but you are free to follow the syllabus using your own materials. We follow the communicative approach but focus on all skill areas. There is an online component of the course book which supports their learning.

The school: 


Our school is located 20 minutes by foot outside the city centre and is also reachable by bus. It is a converted house with bright airy classrooms fitted with Smart Boards, a teacher’s resource room & staff room with kitchen. There is a canteen serving a variety of snacks and hot lunches, and a big garden to relax in. 



The staff: 


The staff are hardworking & supportive to ensure a good student experience, as well as a good working environment. You will be working with a team of around 8 teachers who will help you settle in, and a manager who values the contributions of their staff and is committed to helping them develop and grow. 



The students: 


A diverse group of international students, currently around 95 but with a capacity of up to 200. Students study with us for as short as two weeks, but we have many who study for 1 to 6 months, and those who are on an Academic year programme, needing to achieve IELTS to go to university.  



The pay and benefits 


  • Hourly rates are commensurate with experience but range from £16.50 to £19.55 plus holiday pay.
