We are looking for an Academic Leader to join our team. 

 

As an Academic Leader at Glasgow International College (GIC), you will use your knowledge of teaching and learning to ensure that our academic programme enables students to perform to the absolute best of their ability. You will enjoy working with international students, be student-focused, be open to change and development, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and be fully committed to ensuring all our students’ success. You will have experience in management in language-based courses (such as pre-sessional or similar provision), Facilitate and encourage learning experiences in English which provide learners with the opportunity to achieve their potential and to contribute to raising standards of attainment.

What you’ll bring to the role 
 

  • Strong commitment to student-centred approaches to learning and teaching 

  • Experience of managing a curriculum area/s 

  • Knowledge of the needs of international students 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Strong resource allocation and organizational skills 

  • Ability to analyse data to make informed conclusions 

  • Ability to work collaboratively across a range of teams 

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and preferably a UK Master’s degree or higher 

  • Academic English teaching experience (Desirable)
