We are looking for a Sciences Sessional Tutor to join our team. 

 

As a Sessional Tutor Ideally specialising in Chemistry at the University of Brighton International College (UBIC), you will join our successful team and prepare and deliver modules in Chemistry providing stimulating, effective teaching to international students preparing to study on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes offered by the college.


This is an excellent opportunity for a Chemistry or Science Tutor/Teacher, who is looking to expand their skills and build their career with an industry leader.

What you’ll bring to the role 

 

  • A Bachelor degree in a related subject area is ideal, but each candidate will be assessed on their own merits. Master's degree or higher in a related subject is desirable (or equivalent).

  • previous teaching experience in one of the relevant areas of expertise or a related area within a UK higher education context

  • ability to develop and update teaching material and preferably experience of working within a Virtual Learning Environment

  • competent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, etc)

  • strong record-keeping skills

  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • flexibility and willingness to work under pressure to deadlines

  • enthusiasm and motivation to be a performance-driven team player.


Also desirable would be a Certificate of Teaching in Higher Education, or currently undertaking a relevant course to obtain such a certificate
