We are seeking to appoint Tutors to join our Science and Engineering team with expertise in the following subject areas:

  • Mathematics

  • Chemistry

  • Physics

  • Advanced Statistics

  • Information Technology (for computing students)


As a Tutor at the University of Nottingham International College, you will join our successful team and prepare and provide stimulating, effective teaching to international students preparing to study on undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes offered by the college.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineering Tutor/Teacher, who is looking to expand their skills and build their career with an industry leader.

What you’ll bring to the role 


  • Experience of teaching post 16 students (a teaching qualification would be an advantage)

  • A Bachelor degree in a related subject area is ideal, but each candidate will be assessed on their own merits. Master's degree or higher in a related subject is desirable (or equivalent).

  • Previous teaching experience in one of the relevant areas of expertise or a related area within a UK higher education context

  • Ability to develop and update teaching material and preferably experience of working within a Virtual Learning Environment

  • Competent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, etc)

  • Strong record-keeping skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure to deadlines

  • Enthusiasm and motivation to be a performance-driven team player.
