We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. 

 

We are looking for someone who has strong technical accounting skills, who enjoys variety in their work and wants to extend their experience within the financial accounting team. This role would be well suited to a recently qualified ACA/ACCA. You will have key responsibilities in the month-end accounting process, working closely with the rest of the financial accounting team, to close the books in accordance with our agreed timetable and to perform well documented balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basis.

What you’ll bring to the role 
 

We are looking for a good team-player, who is also able to show initiative and creative problem solving when approaching issues. Due to the nature of the role, it is vital that the candidate either has experience in meeting challenging month-end close timetables, or otherwise working to tight deadlines in a team environment.


You should:


  • Be a qualified accountant with a recognised institute (CCAB or equivalent).

  • Have experience in an accounting role.

  • Be a technically strong accountant, who has experience with complex accounting (e.g. group accounts, or working across multiple accounting frameworks, such as US GAAP, UK GAAP, IFRS).

  • Be a critical thinker, with high attention to detail, a good ability to self-review, and be able to work with accuracy when under pressure.

  • Help support the development of 1 financial accounting apprentice in the team.

  • Have a pro-active approach to managing a diverse and time-constrained workload.

  • Be interested in process improvement/process automation.

  • Have strong Excel skills (working knowledge of pivot tables, vlookup/xlookup is essential).
