We are looking for a Learning Platform Administrator to join our team.



Role Summary


The core task for this role is to prepare pre-built online modules for live delivery on our Learning Management System (Moodle) throughout the year. This task requires a high level of attention to detail to ensure the modules are configured accurately for students and tutors. The role will work across all our University of Liverpool online programmes and will involve liaising with UoL Lecturers, Student Support and Programme Support Teams.  


The Learning Platform Administrator will also administer the Learning Technology email inbox by assigning incoming queries to the rest of the team. Additionally, the Learning Platform Administrator will also occasionally, and time permitting, undertake projects contributing to continuous improvement of our learning platform.

What you’ll bring to the role

Essential Skills 

  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. 

  • Consistently self-motivated with an on-going ability to take appropriate initiative, manage multiple tasks and produce high-quality output to set deadlines. 

  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of Office 365. 

  • Excellent communication skills. 

  • Excellent written and spoken English. 

Desirable Skills 

  • Basic knowledge of HTML. 

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com 

  • Previous experience working with a Learning Management System or other similar web-based application(s). 

  • Experience uploading and maintaining website assets (images, documents) directly via a CMS or server file manager, ensuring adherence to naming conventions and folder structures.
