We are looking for a Lead Analyst to join our team.


You will act as both a strategic and technical leader within the Data Analytics & Insights team. The role drives value by embedding actionable insight into business decision-making and ensuring robust, scalable analytics and reporting solutions across the Partnerships, Marketing & Recruitment, and Data Platforms (IT) teams.


Working collaboratively with senior stakeholders across these areas, the role owns the development of analytical capability, data governance, and BI infrastructure to enhance partnership reporting, performance management, and strategic planning.


This position combines commercial acumen, data leadership, and storytelling excellence to enable evidence-based decision-making and measurable impact across Kaplan’s UK Partnerships portfolio.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field is preferable but not essential.

  • Substantial experience in business intelligence, analytics, or insight leadership roles, ideally within higher education or partnership management.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Power BI or equivalent BI Tools, including dashboard development, data modelling, and visualisation best practice.

  • Experience with Salesforce reporting and data validation processes.

  • Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of SQL (or equivalent).

  • Awareness or experience with Power BI and DAX is highly beneficial, particularly in support of future migration and model design.

  • Experience working with cloud-based data environments (Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar).

  • Proven record of implementing data governance and analytical best practice.

  • Experience leading or mentoring analysts and collaborating across functional teams.
