Kaplan International Pathways seek to appoint an experienced individual to the post of Student Recruitment Manager, South Korea, for our US programs. The position is located in Seoul, Korea.

Kaplan International now seeks to appoint an experienced individual to the post of Student Recruitment Manager, South Korea, for our US programs. The position is located in Seoul, Korea.

 

Starting salary: dependent on experience; performance related bonus available.

Start Date:  June 2023 or as soon as possible

 


Responsibilities include:

  • Taking part in exhibitions and student recruitment events; and organise materials and logistics as required

  • Assessing events for ROI to decide on best use of resources

  • Managing agent relationships, with an emphasis on training and support to ensure high loyalty and best performance

  • Gaining competitive advantage through service and support to agents

  • Being the main point of contact for agents and responding to their enquiries in an efficient and effective manner always within 24 hours

  • Counselling students (face to face, over skype/phone/zoom/Kakao etc)

  • Identifying opportunities and to deliver effective marketing solutions

  • Maintaining excellent relations with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Monitoring competitor developments and market trends

  • Providing promotional and logistical support to Kaplan International Pathways overseas staff and university partners as required for incoming visits

  • Ensuring USA I-20 Visa and other compliance responsibilities are met

  • Any other duties as required from time to time by the regional manager eg. covering for Kaplan’s other products/destinations to attend education fairs within South Korea, conversion & in-country marketing activities along with other market managers.

 

Candidate profile

The successful candidate will be results orientated with the capacity to build strong relations with both internal and external stakeholders. He/she will have a customer facing approach and provide excellent advice and guidance to prospective students and agents, and be happy to work weekends and evenings when required for student recruitment events and activities.

Essential Criteria

  • An undergraduate degree (USA preferred) or equivalent

  • At least 3 years’ experience gained working in a responsible customer facing role

  • Fluent in English and Korean, speaking and writing

  • Customer focus, self-motivation, ability to prioritise effectively, be flexible and manage your time under pressure

  • A sound understanding of USA further and higher education and/or experience of international students studying in the USA.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate issues to a wide audience are essential

  • High level of enthusiasm, motivation, personal commitment and independence to undertake periods of work without supervision

  • Problem solving and organisational skills to deal with complex and difficult situations as they arise

  • The ability to demonstrate you respond positively to change and to be effective in changing

  • High level of literacy and attention to detail to produce clear concise reports

  • Using sales techniques, influencing applicants to accept their offers

  • Meeting conversion and enrolment targets

  • Documenting all calls and communication with students in company systems

 

 

Desirable


  • A proven track record of delivering successful international student recruitment campaigns

  • Knowledge of the education system in Korea and current developments

  • An understanding of visa regulations and market trends in international higher education

  • A high level of administration and organisational skills

  • A high level of enthusiasm/Can Do mindset and personal commitment

  • The ability to work independently and to deadlines

 

In addition the successful candidate will be enthusiastic, performance orientated with a desire for development within the role.
