The Role:


As the International SOX Compliance Manager, you will be a key member of the Kaplan International SOX team. The role will involve coordinating the international teams’ SOX reporting, performing and reviewing testing, remediating deficiencies, updating control activities and their design and periodic reporting of results to management. In addition, the post-holder will be involved in supporting and developing the international SOX testers at the in-scope businesses.



Responsibilities:


  • Coordinating SOX reporting for international businesses (ensuring timely completion of reporting responsibilities)
  • Review of SOX testing and reporting (quarterly, annual and ad hoc)
  • Assisting the IT department with user access provisioning controls, including access control management and segregation of duties
  • Providing guidance to the international SOX teams
  • Performing Entity Level Controls (ELCs) testing
  • Assisting with documentation, testing, periodic updates and remediating deficiencies in the international businesses
  • Identifying risks, design, redesign and implementation of existing compliance measures
  • Drive and oversee improvement projects related to financial and policy compliance
  • Ad hoc projects – Fixed asset tracking; Segregation of duties testing; Implementing controls for changes in business scope
