We are looking for a Head of Student Administration to join our team.


Role Summary


Kaplan Open Learning is seeking to appoint a Head of Student Administration. This new role will take responsibility for managing the Student Administration services across the organisation. We are committed to delivering academic provision and high-quality student experiences to transform students’ lives and careers. You will help us to achieve this by providing expert advice and leadership across areas of student administration, including, Exam Boards, Academic Integrity, Extenuating Circumstances, Late Submission of Coursework, and Course Committees procedures

What you’ll bring to the role

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or experience of working in the UK higher education sector in a role related to Boards of Examiners, Academic Integrity or Extenuating Circumstances.

  • Evidence of line management experience.

  • Excellent standard of digital literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), and Zoom,

  • Good organisational, prioritising and written communication skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with a variety of competing deadlines

  • Ability to manage own workload and that of a team through effective prioritisation, delegation and good organisational ability.

Desirable Requirements


  • Knowledge of UK higher education academic quality and standards procedures.

  • Demonstrable understanding of Higher Education programme structures

  • Ability and commitment to show resilience in a challenging and fast-moving work environment
