We are looking for a Business & Supplier Relationship Manager to join our team.


This role sits at the intersection of internal business partnership and external supplier management. You will act as the primary interface between Kaplan’s business stakeholders, the AI & Innovation function, and external AI technology suppliers. Your focus is on ensuring that AI initiatives deliver measurable value, are commercially sound, and are supported by effective, well-governed supplier partnerships.


You will balance demand management, prioritisation and value realisation internally, while also selecting, contracting, managing and optimising AI vendors and partners externally.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Significant experience in business relationship management, vendor/supplier management, product, digital or technology roles.

  • Proven experience managing external technology or SaaS suppliers, including commercials and performance management.

  • Strong commercial capability: building business cases, cost models and ROI assessments.

  • Working knowledge of AI / data / digital delivery lifecycles (you do not need to be technical, but must be confident challenging assumptions).

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.

  • Experience balancing internal demand with finite delivery capacity.

  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and emerging technology.


Desirable

  • Experience in education, edtech, or regulated environments.

  • Familiarity with responsible AI, data governance, GDPR and global regulatory frameworks and model risk considerations.

  • Exposure to procurement frameworks and contract negotiations.
